Kari and Brad are two amazingly photogenic people that put together an absolutely amazing wedding in SUCH a short period of time! These two were only engaged for a little over 2 months and had one of the prettiest weddings I’ve had the privilege of photographing! If you are a bride that is having to have a really short engagement and your stressing because you just don’t think that you can have the wedding you want in such a short period of time, then you have got to check out this wedding. Don’t lose hope just yet. It is definitely possible!
One of my favorite DIY details about this wedding were the chalkboards. I’ve never seen such cute chalkboards at a wedding, even my own wedding didn’t have such cute chalkboards. Since this, I’ve been dying to go get a couple chalkboards and design them like these and hang them in my house because they are just so stinking cute! My second most favorite detail about this wedding were all the gold accents. Of course gold is super cute and trendy right now, but Kari and Brad incorporated a vintage gold picture frame to display their engagement pictures as part of every centerpiece. They were all different, some passed down from family members on either side, some purchased and some made, but it was SUCH a great detail for the centerpieces and a fantastic way to show off their gorgeous engagement photos! They had a gold sequence table runner for the bridal party table in addition to some golden accents on their guestbook, gift and cake tables. Kari’s gold jewelry and her wedding band were also amazingly beautiful. Then finally… from a girl who has a serious obsession with paper products, Kari and Brad’s invitations (which incorporated some gold coloring on it) were craaaaaazy awesome! Like I’m obsessed. She got Landon Leach to design them for her and then printed them through Cards and Pockets.
One last thing that made this couple totally fun and unique was their love for University of Tennessee Football. Not only did we get to take half of their engagement pictures on a private tour of Neyland stadium but they had a UT groom’s cake and a UT getaway golf cart for their exit at the reception! I love when couples have something that they really enjoy doing together that I get to incorporate into their engagement session and then see it used at the wedding. It’s not super often that it happens so when it does I definitely like to highlight it!
