Sarah and Brent’s wedding was just a little different than the average wedding. They didn’t fall in queue with what’s trendy right now. They didn’t do a traditional wedding because of the tradition. They did exactly what they wanted and focused on the areas that were important to them. From my perspective, there were three key areas that I think they put a little more love into, fresh flowers, photography, and the party.
- Fresh Flowers. I love that Sarah and Brent decided to do fresh flowers everywhere. They make SUCH a huge difference. Just a few can completely change the setting of a room. One of my favorite examples of this from Brent and Sarah’s wedding is the church. They had fresh flowers hanging on the outside of the pews going all the way down the aisle. It was a very simple and classic church. The flowers were the perfect touch to make it look bridal without covering up too much of the beauty of the church itself.
- Photography. Being as unbiased as I possibly can be, I think it is SO smart to invest in your photography. The ONLY thing you have left, the ONLY thing that helps you remember the day, and the ONLY thing that helps retell the story to people who weren’t there, are your pictures. These pictures will be around forever. They get passed down through the family. They will be brought out at celebrations and hung on many walls to come. They might even make it out at your kid’s/grandkid’s/great grandkid’s weddings years from now. Picture are worth investing in.
- The party. Brent and Sarah were getting married, but they were also prepping to leave their community of friends and family to move across the country. So their party had a lot of hugs, a lot of tears, and even more “I Love You’s”. They had an AMAZING band, absolutely DELICIOUS catering, BEAUTIFUL venue, and bartenders that ROCKED out their job. When you get down to the reception pictures, you’ll see all the happiness and crazy fun everyone was having… smiles were everywhere.
So all I’ve done this whole blog post is talk up the vendors. I’m not going to leave you high and dry. At the end of this post, there will be links to all of these vendor’s websites!
P.S. I just want to add, Jesus provided AGAIN and cleared away the 100% chance of rain in Chattanooga and let ALL of our pictures be outside :-).
