There is so much beauty that you’re about to see. Prepare yourself because I think, even if you don’t know this couple, it’s going to tug at your heartstrings. When I arrived at Black Fox Farms that morning, Nikki was fighting off a cold while Austin was playing wiffle ball with his guys. Family was setting up all the reception decor, the florist was adding flowers to the ceremony site, and I was in complete awe at the beauty of this venue. When I tell you that it’s gorgeous, that doesn’t give it enough credit. Nikki and Austin could not have chosen a more perfectly beautiful venue.
When I started taking pictures of Nikki’s dress, shoes, & jewelry, I began wandering around the campus and every corner that I turned it took my breath. Not to mention that Nikki’s dress was absolutely stunning… and every single other detail that they had planned for their perfect day. There was a photobooth that I think probably outdid any photobooth I’ve ever seen assembled by any professional photoboother. There was a big trailer full of antiques and signs and small pieces of Nikki and Austin’s history together. There were hand made wooden signs with elaborate painted calligraphy giving directions to the guests. There was so much thought put into this wedding and it all came together beautifully.
But wait. Wait until you see Austin’s reaction when he saw her coming down the aisle. Some people would say that he “ugly cried” but honestly I think it might have been the most beautiful reaction I’ve ever seen. There is something about loving someone so much that you don’t care who sees you “ugly cry” over your happiness to see them. There are very few moments in life that evoke this kind of emotion and weddings are one of them. I am oh so thankful that I get to witness and preserve this moment for each and every one of my couples.
Nikki and Austin… you guys are SO awesome. Thank you so so so so so much for having me be a part of your wedding. You’re love is so beautiful and so contagious. I came home from your wedding all googli-eyed for my husband.
