This wedding was a total party from start to finish. We were up and going at 7:45 at Baxter’s Coffee, a local coffee shop in Somerset, KY. I’m going to go ahead and side note already and tell you a little about how awesome Baxter’s is. Not only is it local, it’s absolutely delicious, but most importantly it put Starbucks out of business in Somerset. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Starbucks, but I would take local coffee over chain coffee any. day. of the week. Anywho… then we went on to a nail salon and all of the bridesmaids + the bride + the mother of the bride, got manicures and pedicures. It was so cute to see them all just sitting there chatting. The bride and bridesmaids reminisced with inside jokes from the bachelorette party the weekend before. Then they all headed to a clubhouse across the street from the church to get ready. I beat the group there and arrived to entirely blue pancakes fixed by the father of the bride ready to be eaten by all the girls. Literally, the entire day was like this. So fun and so many great details.
Now I also want to speak to my future brides out there. This wedding day did not start off with rain. But when family pictures were over and we went outside to take bridal party pictures, there was definitely some misting going on. Guess what? We still got AWESOME bridal party portraits. Then when that was done and we wanted to do bride and groom portraits, it was still misting a bit, we went out anyway and I’m so glad Morgan was willing to do that. She did not melt, the hair dresser put enough hair spray in her hair that it was totally great and she got fantastic bride and groom romantic portraits. Brides… do not stress about rain. I think that is probably one of the biggest reasons that my bride’s get so worn out. They just can’t stop worrying about it. But even if it happens, your day will still be perfect and you will still get absolutely incredibly images!!!!
