Ashley and P.L. are completely and totally surrounded by the most AMAZING people. From their family to their friends to the parents friends. As I followed them around Scarritt Bennett and Houston Station on June 18th, I watched all of these people love them. I watched them hug and cry and laugh and smile together. I saw SO many traditions be passed down like Ashley’s cathedral veil and the knife they cut their cake with. I watched her dance teacher work her little butt off as she transformed both the ceremony and reception site with absolutely beautiful flower arrangements. I watched her bridesmaids drop their jaws in amazement of what Ashely looked like as a bride. There were so many moments on this wedding day that brought genuine happy tears to my eyes and I was just a vendor looking in from the outside.
I can honestly say that from the time that I met Ashley and her mom Robin for our initial meeting, I knew that I would become such good friends with her. As she talked about P.L. I knew he would have nothing but the same friendly heart. Then I got to shoot their engagement pictures (click here to see that post). This is where I met P.L. for the first time and totally confirmed my suspicions. He loved Ashley SO well. They were and are magic together and completely unstoppable. Just a few weeks before the wedding I got to spend some more time getting to know Ashley and the rest of her family at her bridal session (which I just posted a few days ago here). At this point I knew exactly where she got her kindness from as I watched her mom and dad, grandparents, and soon to be in-laws gaze after her in awe as she put her entire bridal wear on for the first time. They followed her around the entire campus of Scarritt Bennett and just commented on her beauty like little cheer leaders as I took each picture. It was so beautiful watching them love on her. Now they’ve entrusted P.L. to do this and I know so surely that he is going to do it so very well.
I am beyond thankful for the friendship that has developed from meeting Ashley and P.L. I am so thankful for their kindness and generosity. They’re wedding was as beautiful as they are and all you have to do is scroll down to see for yourself. Feel free to check out all of Ashley’s vendors at the very end along with links to their websites!
